My husband may be the only one that knows this, but I LOVE Highland fuzzy cows. Driving down a back road outside of Durango early one morning, these cuties were grazing along the road (pause for screeching tires).
Of course, I had to stop to take a photograph!
Someday, I will be close enough to snuggle one…I hope!
We found ourselves spending alot of time along Cascade Creek in Colorado trying to perfect our long exposure photography. The only thing that I didn’t like was the elevation. At about 8900 ft, I found myself having a really hard time adjusting to the increased elevation. Whew, I could never catch my breath!
It was so lovely and peaceful there. We spent quite a long time each day we were out there. Here are some images I captured there. I really hope you enjoy. If you ever get a chance to visit the Durango, CO area, I highly recommend going here. This area is right off of 550. There is a dirt road you can park along and walk down to it. If you are luck enough to have 4 wheel drive, you can just drive all the way down to the creek.
Hi! Just wanted to pop on here to let everyone know that my husband and I are out traveling for an extended period of time. We sold our house in Sand Springs and decided to take some time to go on some new adventures to see some things before we settle in again.
Our first stop was Durango, CO. It was the first time I had ever been there and my husband had been there with his family when he was young. The landscape is beautiful, especially driving north towards Silverton. We wanted to travel more of the Million Dollar Highway, but had a little engine light problem and was uncertain about traveling that road with little to no cell service, etc. out there.
Anyone who is thinking about visiting Durango, I highly recommend taking the train from Durango to Silverton. The scenery is spectacular any time of year as you follow the Animas River north. It was certainly an experience I will never forget. Here are a few pictures from our train ride. I highly recommend the Knight Sky car since it has glass sides and top for 360 degree views! The hot chocolate was also pretty spectacular!
Once we arrive in Silverton, CO it was like a step back in time. That is the only way I can describe it. There is only one paved road through the middle of town and the rest are dirt. The train pulls into the middle of town.

Newborn fresh 48 sessions are a great way to capture those first hours with your new baby without capturing the actual birth. This allows me to share and document your memories as you get to know your little one and introduce them to the rest of your family. I am there to capture all of those moments for you to keep and share.
Sweet Kambria was so excited to meet her new baby brother. It was the cutest thing when she the first question she asked him was if he liked her shirt which said, “Perfect Big Sister.” She doesn’t let him out of her sight. I think she will always be his protector.
With fresh 48 sessions, not only do I capture still images, but I will also capture short video clips and put them together in a video. This is a one of a kind keepsake. Sometimes the excitement and newness of a moment can get lost. This is a way to always keep the moments fresh in your memory.
Maternity sessions are one of my favorites. I recently did a milk bath maternity session with this lovely lady and we were also able to get some other images as well. I had several gowns and other items to choose from in my wardrobe closet in the studio. I am always on the look out for beautiful pieces for my clients to wear so they don’t have to purchase their own. Clients get so excited to play dress-up in the lovely gowns I have available 🙂
Here are some of the images we captured from Jennifer’s maternity session. You can see the milk bath maternity session images HERE. If you are interested in a maternity session please email me at [email protected]
